About Pixie
I am a native of Jacksonville, born in St. vincent's hospital at the end of the baby boom era. If one believes that things happen for a reason, then it is safe to say that I am exactly where I am supposed to be.
I am passionate about color and I love exploring my Creative Spirit and through this process, Pixieglas™ was born. Color has always been for me, something that allows me to express myself. This process of using color, mixing it with glass and having a beautiful piece of contemporary art as a finished product still leaves me amazed to this day.
For me, art is the exploration of The Spirit. A meditative journey where I am free to create whatever patterns my mind finds appealing and even some that I don’t. When a piece emerges that does not want to be finished, or calls for a color that I would not ordinarily use in a color scheme, I allow the process of creativity to take over. I trust that what I am creating is the right piece at the right time and in the right way. Second guessing myself is my way of dampening my Creative Spirit.
Pixieglas™ is my passion, a tool for my spiritual work and the opportunity for me to explore my inner depths, what excites me and what inspires me.
